Shop 172 owes its genesis to the meeting of minds of a number of International independent fashion designers who held a common commitment to creating a unique and exciting boutique environment that specialised in quality unconventional garments. Opening its doors in October 2006, the shop quickly became the East End's premier distributer of independent and innovative fashion design. We are dedicated to creating a pluralistic and non-elitist fashion environment selling unique, largely handmade and very high quality garments at honest prices. In keeping with this ethos our varied and changing collections walk a delicate balance between sleek elegance and a freer more playful street aesthetic.
