Being close to London's world-famous Portobello Market has had a strong influence on the interior of this shop. It's a fun, creative space, furnished with quirky antiques - but don't go there expecting a dusty musuem. As always, Caramel has put its own fun, quirky spin on the shabby chic style - one wall is entirely covered with Art Deco mirrors, and a vintage barber's chair sits in the basmenet, used by the in-store hairdresser. Clothes for boys and girls aged 3m-12yrs are the main draw on the ground floor, with the basement an Aladdin's cave of toys, games, books and other beautiful things collected from around the world. Tired mums can sit and enjoy tea, coffee or a cupcake at a large communal table, and in the summer the patio garden really comes into its own.
